UNITY - LOVE - RESPONSIBILITY - FOR VICTIMS OF AO POXICOLOGY

LETTER OF CONGRATULATIONS ON THE OCCASION OF THE BIRTHDAY OF HER MAJESTY THE QUEEN OF BELGIANS

Your Majesty Queen Mathilde of the Belgians, the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals Advocate, Honorary President of UNICEF Belgium,

On the occasion of Your Majesty’s birthday, on behalf of the Vietnam Association for Victims of Agent Orange/Dioxin (VAVA), I would like to extend my warmest congratulations to You and my heartfelt wishes for your good health, serenity, and success in your distinguished endeavors for humanity values that You have strived for.

Vietnamese people hold in high esteem Your Majesty’s deep compassion, commitment, and thoughtful advocacy for children rights, the protection of vulnerable communities, and worldwide inclusive encouragements. As a United Nations SDG Advocate and the Honorary President of UNICEF Belgium, You have spread the messages of equality, opportunities, and the care for future generations – the values that Viet Nam greatly treasures.

Your Majesty’s recent visit to Viet Nam, together with His Majesty the King, has left profound and gracious impressions on our people. The image of Your Majesty wearing the Vietnamese traditional Áo dài, engaging warmly with the children, visiting cultural and educational institutions, and listening to the expressions of the families of Agent Orange victims, remains a refined, approachable, and compassionate demeanor in many Vietnamese people. Your Majesty’s heartfelt empathy for the victims of Agent Orange/Dioxin - whose lives continue to bear the painful legacies of war - has offered them a precious source of encouragement, helping raise them up through difficulties in life.

The Vietnam Association for Victims of Agent Orange/Dioxin deeply appreciates Your Majesty’s support for the initiatives aimed at improving the lives of the victims. The foundation and launch of the Aquitara Philanthropic Fund managed by King Baudouin Foundation of Belgium, marks a sustainable platform for cooperation between our two countries to improve living standards, healthcare, rehabilitation, education for victims of Agent Orange in Viet Nam. This is a vivid proof for friendship and international humanitarianism.

Your Majesty,

To many Vietnamese families, You are not only a member of the Royal family, but also a model of sympathy and kindness. The moments You gently held the hands of the children and listened attentively to their stories has conveyed a strong belief in them that they are surrounded by love, and their efforts are respected by the world. Your hope that You gave them would forever stay in the heart of those who are suffering the consequences of war everyday.

On this special occasion, I respectfully wish You a meaningful and blessed birthday, coupled with a good health. May You continue to be a source of hope and encouragement for children and the disadvantageous elsewhere in the world, including the victims of Agent Orange/Dioxin in Viet Nam.

 Yours respectfully,

Ha Noi, January 20th 2026

Lieutenant General NGUYEN HUU CHINH

President of the Vietnam Association for Victims of Agent Orange/Dioxin

Member of the Presidium of the Central Committee of the Viet Nam Fatherland Front
