Attendees at the signing ceremony included Lieutenant General Nguyen Huu Chinh, President of VAVA; Major General Do Hong Lam, Permanent Vice President of VAVA; and representatives from various departments of the Association. Representing the Bom Foundation were Ms. Son Ha-eun, Chairperson of the Board, and Mr. Kim Dae Jong, President of the International Agent Orange Foundation (HOAVAVA).
Speaking at the meeting, President Nguyen Huu Chinh expressed his pleasure in welcoming the Bom Foundation delegation and highly appreciated the Foundation's interest and cooperation regarding activities to support Vietnamese victims of Agent Orange.
President Nguyen Huu Chinh emphasized that this was the first international delegation to visit the Association following the successful conclusion of the 6th National Congress of VAVA (for the 2026–2031 term). The signing of the MOU immediately after the Congress is a significant event, contributing to the strengthening of cooperative ties between VAVA and international organizations and partners in the effort to care for and assist victims of Agent Orange.
Under the terms of the MOU, the two parties agreed to collaborate on organizing an “Art Exhibition in Hanoi” to promote cultural and artistic exchange between Vietnam and South Korea, while also allocating a portion of the exhibition's proceeds to support Vietnamese victims of Agent Orange.
The exhibition is scheduled to take place from December 11 to 13, 2026, at the Grand Plaza Hanoi Hotel (117 Tran Duy Hung, Hanoi), with the opening ceremony slated for December 11, 2026.
President Nguyen Huu Chinh and Ms. Son Ha-eun signed the Memorandum of cooperation.
Under the agreement, the Bom Foundation is responsible for leading the planning, content development, personnel coordination, and overall program operations and management. The Foundation will also secure the necessary funding for organizing the exhibition, covering venue rental, artwork transportation, communications, the opening ceremony, and logistics.
VAVA participates as an official partner of the program, coordinating support for communications and connecting delegates and guests. Additionally, VAVA will receive and utilize a portion of the exhibition's profits to implement care and support activities for Agent Orange victims in accordance with regulations.
Lieutenant General Nguyen Huu Chinh, President of VAVA, is expected to attend and deliver a speech at the opening ceremony. VAVA is also coordinating invitations for representatives from the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, government agencies, local authorities, the Association's partner network, diplomatic missions, international organizations, and media outlets to attend the event.
