Thank-you letter of NA Chairman  to the Belgian Chamber of Representatives for supporting Vietnamese victims of Agent Orange

National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue sent a thank-you letter to Ms. Eliane Tillieux, President of the Belgian Chamber of Representatives - the first House of Representatives in the world to pass a Resolution calling for support for Vietnamese victims of Agent Orange.

On the occasion of the Belgian Chamber of Representatives, the first one in the world to pass a Resolution calling for support for Vietnamese victims of Agent Orange, on November 5, 2023, National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue sent a thank-you letter to Ms. Eliane Tillieux, President of the Belgian Chamber of Representatives.

In the letter, Hue expressed his joy and emotion when the Belgian Chamber of Representatives on October 5, 2023 passed a Resolution calling for support for Vietnamese victims of Agent Orange with the absolute support votes. At the same time, he clearly stated that this is an important and extremely meaningful Resolution for Vietnam, helping to increase the international community's awareness of the Agent Orange disaster in Vietnam and continue their support for Vietnam to solve the consequences of war.

The National Assembly Chairman emphasized that the Belgian Chamber of Representatives is the first parliament in the world to pass a resolution on victims of Agent Orange, creating a great resonance, affirming Belgium's role in the international arena, while spreading its good meaning around the world.

The approval of the Resolution by the Belgian Chamber of Representatives is a historic milestone, affirming the good cooperative relationship between Vietnam and Belgium in the context that the two countries are celebrating the 50th anniversary of establishing diplomatic relations (1973-2023).

On behalf of the National Assembly of Vietnam, the Chairman of the National Assembly respectfully sent to President of the House of Representatives Eliane Tillieux and the Belgian parliamentarians the most sincere thanks for their support during the discussion and adoption of the Resolution as well as the extremely positive contributions of Ms. Eliane Tillieux in promoting the development of Vietnam - Belgium relations.

On this occasion, Chairman of the National Assembly Vuong Dinh Hue respectfully invited Ms. Eliane Tillieux and the delegation of the Belgian Chamber of Representatives to visit Vietnam./.
