Implementing the free medical examination program in 2025 in Da Nang, on the morning of October 7, 2025 at Da Nang University of Medical Technology and Pharmacy, a 13-member delegation of the Medical Outreach of America (MOA) - USA, together with 2 doctors from Da Nang University of Medical Technology and Pharmacy, and 12 medical students conducted medical examination for 50 Agent Orange victims who are being cared for and studying at the Center for Social Protection for Victims of Agent Orange and Unfortunate Children in Da Nang City.
Before the examination, MOA distributed medical intake forms, conducted screening and classification of disability status, medical history, and blood pressure measurement. Depending on their condition, patients might get vitamins and medicine to take at home or conduct more in-depth test, X-ray screening at the hospital (funded by the MOA). If the patients are in difficult circumstances, they may get treatment support or rehabilitation equipment and tools, provided that they meet the organisation's criteria.
At the clinics, doctors, nurses, and technicians of MOA conducted general examinations, rehabilitation examinations, eye examinations, and dental check-up. After the examinations, victims were provided with medicine to take at home according to instructions. During the examinations, the doctors and nurses of the organization talked with the patients and asked about their health conditions. They encouraged the victims to be confident in them, and try to overcome their illnesses to lead a good life.
MOA conducts this charity activity on a yearly basis in Vietnam in order to share and help the victims of Agent Orange, people with disabilities...; thereby contributing to improving the lives of those who still have difficulty in accessing medical services.
